Armpit Fudge Activity – (FREE PRINTABLE ACTIVITY)
Introduce your kids to a classic science experiment with this fun and easy armpit fudge activity. This creative project teaches the basics of chemistry by combining a few household ingredients to create a delicious treat. Plus, the kids get to enjoy the fruits of their labor after all the hard work is done!
What You’ll Need:
- 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Combine the cocoa powder, cornstarch, sugar, and salt in a bowl and whisk together until it’s completely blended.
- Slowly pour the milk into the bowl while whisking until everything is evenly mixed.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan, then add it to the mixture while stirring.
- Continue stirring until the mixture begins to bubble and thicken. It should take roughly 5 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir until everything is blended.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and transfer it to a bowl. Let it cool.
- Once it’s cooled, you can roll it into small balls or flatten it out and cut it into cubes.
- Enjoy!
