The Snow Sports merit badge is an exciting badge that encompasses a wide range of activities. Skiing and snowboarding are the main elements of the badge, as they are the primary sports associated with winter snow. Other activities, such as ice skating, snowshoeing, and even cross-country skiing, can also be considered for the badge.
Requirements
- Give a brief history of snow sports.
- Discuss the various types of snow sports.
- Identify and describe the gear and safety equipment needed for each type of snow sport.
- Demonstrate proper technique in at least two different snow sports.
