The Dentistry Merit Badge is an educational program that teaches participants the basics of dental health, oral hygiene and dental care.   • Describe the effects of tobacco use on teeth.
  • Discuss the use of fluorides in preventing dental disease.
  • Explain what you have learned about the importance of good dental care in your own oral health.


The Dentistry Merit Badge is an excellent way for scouts to learn the basics of dental health and to begin practicing good dental hygiene habits.
