Songs of The Season Activity (Christmas Scouting Game)

Celebrate the holiday season with our fun and festive Songs of The Season activity. This Christmas scouting game is a great way for scouts to get in the Christmas spirit!

What You’ll Need:

• Paper
• Pen/Pencil
• Christmas songs/music

This game works best for large groups of 6-8, but may be adapted to accommodate more or less players.

Instructions:

1. Have each player pick a Christmas song or carol.
2. Once each player has made their selection, have them write down the title of the song as well as the lyrics of the song with the appropriate punctuation.
3. Once the players have written the song lyrics, divide them into two teams.
4. Have one team go first and choose a player to sing their song. The other team has to guess the song title.
5. Once the song is guessed, the other team has a chance to guess the title of their song.
6. If the team fails to guess the title of the song, the other team can attempt to steal the point by correctly guessing the title.
7. Once each team has had a chance to guess, the other team’s turn begins.
8. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!

This Songs of the Season activity is a great way to get kids in the holiday spirit! The game requires creativity, knowledge of song lyrics, and a great deal of team work. Have fun and don’t forget to sing!
