The Junior Aide Award represents active assistance as a Junior Girl Scout, helping Brownie Girl Scouts bridge to Junior Girl Scouting. This award is available to all Girls Scouts, ranging from Daisy to Ambassador levels. It is the highest award a Girl Scout can receive.

Earning the Junior Aide Award is an attainable goal for every Girl Scout. Here is a simple guide to earning it:

  • Be a part of a Brownie troop for at least one year.
  • Help the troop at least twice in the form of taking part in troop meetings and activities.
  • Act as a mentor to at least two youngerGirl Scouts.
  • Help the Brownies complete their projects.
  • Attend a meeting with Girl Scouts leadership about the Junior Aide Award.
  • Complete the award application form and submit it, along with the necessary documentation.

If a Girl Scout is unable to attend the meeting with leadership, she can reach out to her local troop leader, who is likely to be familiar with the process and can help her. Additionally, a Girl Scout can check the official Girl Scouts website to find out more information about the Junior Aide Award and what is needed to be eligible.

The Junior Aide Award is a wonderful opportunity for a Girl Scout to help her troop and to be a leader among her peers. It is a great way to demonstrate commitment to the Girl Scouts, and it is a milestone worth achieving.
